A word from our Founder, D’Arcy Myers
Among the many UK charities and benevolent funds, there has never been one to support Third Sector workers. If you’re a barrister, a horticulturist or a member of the clergy, there’s a charitable organisation you can turn to for support when times get really tough. I wanted to create a place for people working within non-profits to turn to in their hour of need.
My vision is to offer holistic support, signposting to other services, and eventually financial assistance grants too. Third Sector Worker Coalition brings together volunteers from within the sector, partner providers, and financial donors, to deliver this support.
In these uncertain times, with increasing job insecurity for Third Sector Workers, there’s never been a better time to get started.
D’Arcy is an experienced independent Third Sector consultant. He has led a number of charities through change and development, working with boards and leadership teams to promote a productive governance culture. He is active in the sector and amongst other things was one of the founders of the Small Charities Coalition and Governance For Good. He set up the South East Charity Forum and The Corporate Social Partnership. D’Arcy is also currently Chair of Trustees for the ACO, the membership body for grant-makers and The Smallwood Trust.
